Brion joined Viola Networks in May 2002 as the Vice President of Product Management. Brion identified the need to reposition the company away from being a lab-testing tool. After examining available markets and the product’s capabilities, Brion led the effort to refocus Viola on the Voice-over-IP (VoIP) quality assessment market. The new, highly successful strategy lead to over 100 new sales in the first year (prior to the new strategy, Viola had sold less than 10 copies of its testing products in its prior 4 years).
In addition to redefining the Viola product strategy, Brion coordinated all marketing and public relations activities related to repositioning the company products. Working with press and analysts, Brion established Viola as the leading provider of solutions for qualifying enterprise networks prior to VoIP deployments.
